Heading out to the Masindi District of Uganda on the 6th of February.
This trip is through Catholic Relief Services' Farmer to Farmer program. I will be working with the Pakanyi United Farmers' Cooperative Society Limited (PUFCO) preparing financial statements and doing financial analysis. The CO-OP started in 2006 with support from Build Africa Uganda (BAU) operating in five parishes. There goal is to be a prominent self-sustaining agro-processing enterprise in Uganda by 2020.
The Masindi area is in west central Unganda. The travel plans call for air travel from Billings, MT to Minneapolis, MN, Amsterdam, Netherlands then on to Entebbe. I will be in Kampala for a day and a half before driving out to Masindi which is near Lake Albert.. I travel back through Kampala and Entebbe to fly home on the 26th of February. I will hopefully be posting daily.
